It is not nice to demean bloodsuckers like this . I am sure they fit into the evolutionary plan of nature and have done so for many many millions of years. What we have here is a species of total self indulgence and although have only been around for several years have done much damage to the sh flora and fauna, This being reminiscent of the damage done by cane toads. This species ( not referring to cane toads) tend to move on and appear elsewhere once the damage has been done but this lot seems to be still fluorishing but soon they wil be removed and if lucky for them may just end up as fossils.
