When you think about it, there could hardly be a more obvious sign of global warming than disappearing glaciers.

Obviously, if Earth was cooling, glaciers wouldn't be disappearing, they'd be expanding.

Those who deny the science of global warming and climate change might argue that this is part of a natural cycle, when of course they weren't arguing the opposite, which they do at the drop of a hat.

On August 15, NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York reported that July 2017 was statistically tied with July 2016 as the warmest July in the 137 years of modern record-keeping, according to a monthly analysis of global temperatures by their scientists.

July 2017 was about 0.83 degree Celsius warmer than the mean July temperature of the 1951-1980 period. Only July 2016 showed a similarly high temperature (0.82 °C), all previous months of July were more than a tenth of a degree cooler, NASA reported.

We pretty much know what's happening now with the science of global warming and climate change.

It's a pity the Neanderthals that pass for the Australian govt dance to the tune played by the coal industry, rather than adopt a rational approach to this important issue.

It's a very sad state of affairs. Thanks god this mob are on track to be dumped, can't come soon enough.
