    If an official sorry helps Aboriginal Australia move forward then I'm all for it.

    I just wonder though...
    Do the stolen generation and their families solely harbor their grievances with previous legislation and the people responsible?
    It is obvious that the current government are acknowledging responsibility by saying sorry for something they never did and even more obvious that some of the stolen generation hold the current government responsible by demanding an apology and (some) a cash payout which would be paid by all tax paying citizens who are also not guilty of any crimes.

    This can only be an official recognition of what has happened in the past and an apology that can only be spoken on behalf of those that enacted what was done. I wonder if they approve.
