very eloquent Hanrahan. You've said it all in a nutshell. My ancestors are still waiting on the Romans to apologise for the horrendous way the Samnites were treated 2000 years ago...and a apology from the Normans for the appalling treatment they meted out after defeating the Saxons at Hastings and taking their land, crushing their language, and nodoubt raping the odd comely wench.
I do sympathise with those who were taken from their parents but realistically there was NO alternative...except malnutrition and death.
