I've been thinking this for months too tbh. As we have the agreement with PLL (still interested to see what becomes of that but that is the billion dollar question we're all waiting on I guess), why not sell the remaining product as BMX style auctions every month? As we have no debt we are ideally suited for this to get maximum profit out of our Abitibi spodumene until downstream processing is up and running. No debt = no need to appease financiers with fixed offtake agreements.
It could be Sayona's niche for Abitibi for the next couple of years and being located where we are it would make for a ludicrously profitable approach selling at 5000USD+/ton, when NAL PFS factors in a price 4x less. Profit could be bananas with rest going to PLL at $900/ton (if it ever does) covering all costs and operations.
Then ends as downstream processing kicks off and also Moblan comes up and running, then sky's the limit.
It's an interesting concept at the very least imo
