I also emailed the company recently and have not received a reply. I will follow up a bit longer and put in a call but if I don't hear back I'll sell - if they don't come back to me the odds of the business being another SBB are higher.

If they have a simple answer for why the buy back has been delayed I don't see why they wouldn't be delighted to respond quickly to my email. If they can't transfer money from China, or there are some other 'issues' then I can understand them wanting to ignore shareholders or sweep the issue under the carpet.
