Hi Samsung1,
The prospectus has just been released and the key dates are:
Lodgement of Prospectus with ASIC and ASX - 1 February 2008
Existing Shares quoted on an 'ex' basis - 7 February 2008
Record date for determining entitlements - 13 February 2008
Prospectus and Entitlement and Acceptance Form despatched to Eligible Shareholders - 18 February 2008
Closing Date* (Pro rata Offer) - 3 March 2008
Notify ASX of the shortfall - 7 March 2008
Anticipated date for dispatch of holder statements - 11 March 2008
The 13th is the record date, but the key date for all these entitlement offers is the ex-entitlement date, which was today.
This basically means that you had to be holding VEC shares by the close of business yesterday (the 6th) to be entitled to any options (as today they went ex - i.e. no longer entitled).
As with these option deals holders are now free to sell their shares as of today and they will still be sent the acceptance form to apply for the options.
Cheers
