With the price of gold smashing through AUD$1,710 an ounce in the past 24 hours surely its just a matter of time before the SBM Board declare an increase to the company's dividend?
With AUD$199 million in the bank (as at the end of September), the company being debt-free and now generating a couple of hundred million dollars a year in Net Profit, I believe the company would easily be able to accommodate an increase in the dividend - at a minimum by 50% - to 9c per share from the 6c per share declared on 23 August 2017.
Will make for a very interesting AGM on 30 November 2017 !
