On a more serious note. I would imagine the analogue signal carries both picture and sound, so if it is out of sync, is is probably due to the transmission from your local broadcaster/repeater station, not a problem with your tv.
Not to worry. Wont be long before people are building new housing estates on fields of old crt's covered with a few meters of topsoil.
