Hi guys
I did say I would sit on the sidelines & watch what eventuates. However, I have reconsidered as I don't think it fair that you are kept in dark as to what is occuring on the local front. My mission was to keep you informed; if I happen to get ID'd by locals then I guess I will have to deal with it.

COUGAR ENERGY CLEARED BY DERM
Cougar Energy dismissed the threat of water contamination after the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) confirmed they no longer were concerned with the water quality of local bores.
On Thursday, a spokesperson from the company said despite media reports its Kingaroy project had presented no danger to human health, drinking water, livestock or farming activities.
The restrictiion of ground water use within a 2km radius of the plant had been removed by DERM.
The spokesperson said there were many "incorrect public statements and assertions misleading shareholders and the market" and that the company had been testing ground water supplies up to four times each day in the last few weeks.
"The company expects that any representations on this issue deal only with the facts and that the proper processes of evaluation will be allowed to continue," the spokesperson said.
"The company is taking legal advice on remedies available to it for any such misrepresentations of fact."
The spokesperson said the chemicals detected last month in ground water supplies were already present in the air.
"In fact DERM states that persons will have significantly more exposure to the hydrocarbon chemicals under investigation from the air they breathe, and most particularly at suburban petrol stations," they said.
