Hey all. Not a bad day to have a think about things and I actually decided to try and come up with negatives for SBW. Apart from the usual potential competition blah blah the only other thing I could even entertain was a rise in online shopping. That is that over time the increase in online shopping would extend much further into supermarket activity.
Having thought this through I am still very bullish here for multiple reasons. One being that our tech has many aspects to it and we would still have plenty of avenues of opportunity even IF this occurred at huge levels.
The other reason is that i dont see a monstrous shift in that space all that likely. Homeshop has been a thing for well over a decade and hasn't exactly exploded. If covid can't get the pendulum to swing significantly in that direction im not sure what could on a short timeline. In fact, id argue for a lot of people it has had an opposite effect. People are relishing using the supermarket shop to be able to get out of the house during lockdown.
Just my thoughts. Happy to discuss. Does anyone else have any potential threats they see that may not have been thoroughly discussed here?
