scaddan uranium project

Scaddan Uranium Project.

The tenements that WME hold are E63/1033 and E63/1037 which are located North East of Esperance…WA.Total area 27,959
The main reason why WME and its management bought the two tenements are due to the Airborne Radiometrics conducted back in 1981.
Its known as the Albany Fraser Survey (Esperance Malcolm) WA.

The survey can be found on their announcement dated – 13/11/2006 page 32.

Notice that the tenements have high a concentration of U308 and Thorium. Thorium is a Thorium (IPA: /ˈθɔːriəm/) is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Th and atomic number 90. As a naturally occurring, slightly radioactive metal, it has been considered as an alternative nuclear fuel to uranium.
Applications of Thorium: Thorium may be used in nuclear reactors instead of uranium as fuel. This produces less transuranic waste.

Looking at the Airborne Radiometric survey – you can see that the tenements have “purple clusters” – this represents potential anomaly’s (I have to carefully word this as I am not a geo – just an Analyst).

If there are any Geo’s out there, its very much appreciated. I don’t know what I’m looking at so for me to view – well its an untrained eye.

NOW all – go to http://www.ga.gov.au/image_cache/GA9571.pdf p136. I think what you will find is that the survey will be conclusive that the tenement that WME is an area of interest, and we could potentially have a secondary project once Marenica is up and running as a U308 mine. By then the West Aust Labour Govt would have yielded their no Uranium mine policy due to overwhelming demand from China and India. Just my take on it – anyone else care to elaborate or discuss?

Oh, did I forget to mention…JRL owns a tenement of Coal not too far away from our two Scaddan Projects. Wesfarmers previously owned the land and coffed it up so to speak. I have read from somewhere that the occurrence of Coal coincides with U308 anomalies. Hmmm – I better investigate and try to ascertain.


Not much concrete information on the Scaddan tenements. All I know are that;

1. Prospective of U308
2. More than likely prospective of Thorium.
