I scalp and aways put a profit limit in, usually 5 points, 10 if I'm more confident.
And yes, I trade a larger number of contracts with this method.
But you have to be careful with stops. Keep them wide early in day and move them close as soon as I can.
Don't trade between 2.30 and 3.45 as I find it too unpredictable.
