The following is all just IMO- Range Resources, mkt cap of 50million chasing resources in the multiple of billions. They have first dibs on the resource but need help - they have hired big guns to join the board, they have hired big guns to assist in capital raising and to get them onto the world stage. They have almost finalised the jv with canmex which will give them international credibility and hopefully pave the way for others to join the party.
In these early stages we should almost expect to be stuffed around while the deals gets sorted and they get set.
Free stock, free options, unlisted options, escrowed stock(hopefully), credit facilities - every trick in the book will be used even, if it seems unfair to us - so we can get the resource out of the ground. after all this is the end game.
Another IMO - with RAB + Firebird onboard - Findlays days of helping Range could be over. They dont have the international connections that RAB can bring to the table. I think its time for them to step aside and let the next chapter unfold.
we can speculate till we are blue in the face re what the sp should be - that game along with endless speculation on capping, stacking or whatever else will drive ya nuts! and seriously - that 'overheard in a pub' line has no cred in my book
