Fact if some one was arrested today coming through an Australian airport with 4.5kg of dope in their bag, they would be arrest
and regardless of any other evidence the prosecution may or may not be able to present at trial, the accused would have to come up with a better and substantiated defence "gee some one must have placed the drugs in my bag maybe it was some dodgy baggage handlers" if they did not want to spend the next 10 years or so in jail.
1000's of Australian's go overseas each year and 1000's of visitors come here. Out of all of these people coming and going each year Schapelle Corby is the only innocent person to ever get caught. A person whose family just by chance also has a proven and rumoured history with drugs.
YEAH RIGHT.
Either Corby is guilty or she was set up by one of her family most likely her brother.
Downer over time has made some stupid comments but for even him to come out with comments about the brother makes you wonder what information he had knowledge of.
the AFP said at the time they would not give evidence at Corby's trial and if they were forced to the evidence would be damaging. Sounds like they had evidenceor suspisions about the family's activities and briefed downer on this evidence.
