always hated schoolies, particularly living in WA. It's pointless - really - finishing year 12 is not that big a deal.
Police and government condoning thousands of kids underage drinking yet if 17 year olds get caught drinking in a park on the weekend they get fined?
making special rules about older people hanging out with school leavers? if they were at a university party with 21 year olds there would be none of these rules.
Kids claiming to responsible whilst doing stuff they would never want their families to know.
Apologists making excuses that kids need time and space to blow off steam. Sure they do, but is binge drinking and in some cases illegal drug taking or even worse, making potentially life risking (and sometimes life taking)choices really letting off steam?
I just can't see the benefit for all the problems it causes and double standards it creates.
