I don’t think so. In fact I think schumer is reflecting exactly what Judaism is meant to be about. All those who have flung around references to gods chosen people as an insult have simply not understood that the covenant with god depends on them living in accordance with gods laws - or a just and moral life.
I think that in pursuing the pathway he has chosen Netanyahu has broken that covenant - choosing a secular pathway.
I also doubt very much that schumer supports Hamas or is interested in enabling them. while a democrat he’s comparatively conservative
