MJS, I think that pressure might be just a function of depth. I did a google search and read about, eg, a Mobil Oil Corp operated well in Louisiana back in the late 90's which was at 19000 feet. Its initial production was 20mmcf of gas and 200 barrels of condensate per day on a 19/64th inch choke with a flowing tubing pressure of over 12800 psi. (Nice well hey...$220k/day in revenue in today's terms !) I think this one was called the "South Horseshoe Bayou Discovery"
