We've had radio telescopes scouring the skies for what, 50 or more years now, and nothing detected.

So presumably, there isn't another advanced civilisation out there, within a 50 light year radius anyway.

So if our atmospheric radiation signature changes, it will take more than 50 years for those changes to be detected. It will then take ET another 50 years to come here, and wipe us out.

So we don't have to worry about anything for the next 100 years anyway!

I'd be more worried about ET picking up the radio or even worse, the television signals we have been emitting for more than 100 years. Imagine what they would think, watching some crapola American sitcom rubbish show. If that didn't compel them to come and wipe us out, nothing will...............
