Back in 2005, after a lovely wedding in Long Island the Flynn family, consisting of Neil and Jennifer Lynn and their daughters Grace and Katie Flynn, enter a limousine with their destination being home. Unbeknownst to them, it would be the most tragic ride home ever. Highly intoxicated truck driver, Martin Heidgen, was speeding down the Meadowbrook Parkway in his truck, when he collided with the Flynn’s limo. This resulted in the devastating death of 7-year-old Katie Flynn, the accident left her decapitated and when the family finally escaped the limo all Mrs.Flynn had left to hold of her daughter was her head. Every article or blog I read on the accident all quote Katie as telling her father “This is the best day of my life”. That day Katie served as the flower girl in the wedding and was described as being insanely excited about her participation in the wedding and feeling very special.
