Superbly written bacci, well done for one of the better posts on HC. Like many, you are not closed off to further consideration of better information.

APS responds to climate-change accusations -
    http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/44024

Has an eerily similar tone of deniability to Greenspan/Bernanke/financial wizards prior to $trillions disappearing from the order books in 2008 -

The opening letter above qualifies Hal Lewis p.o.v -
"I do feel the need to add one note, and this is conjecture, since it is always risky to discuss other peoples motives. This scheming at APS HQ is so bizarre that there cannot be a simple explanation for it."

You can only ever infer common sense from deception. For if it was obvious even to a paperboy, then culpability and liability are no-brainers. The concept raised by Eisenhower is not a small one - that money corrupts, shapes opinion and creates bias.

The 21st century is primed for excitement - as indicated by a now universal theme highlighted in points 1-6 of Lewis letter. If even that possibility can't be accepted, then people are living under a rock.

Lewis was seeking discussion amongst peers, how utterly bizarre not to encourage and provide it.

    rgds,
