    I honour your love for Nelson Mandela.
    He's definitely worthy of commendation and celebration of the victories of the human spirit.

    What I see, however, is that comparing Mandela's situation where jail, police forces, and some semblance of civility existed, with Prophet Muhammad's situation where none of those options existed are not fully comparable.

    I would appreciate any examples of "turning the other cheek" in 7th century Arabia that might be more comparable.

    One can't say things like "Look at early Christians, to discipline their kids they used to beat them hard. I would never think that was a moral thing to do"
