Your showing a CLEAR lack of understanding of what Jesus is even saying on the I am subject and I expect the OT I AM as well.
Jesus says, before Abraham I am --> simply means the likes of the following;
Rev 13:8 - And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Many people and translations twist this verse around, despite the Greek having it as I have shown here, it means he was pre-slain, but not literally).
Titus 1:2 - In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before time eternal.
2 Tim 1:9 - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before time eternal.
Now we were not around right back then, but life eternal was given to us --> meaning in Jesus's case, before Abraham was even thought of in the mind and plans of God, Jesus to be, was the first thought, plans as in, Jesus was the beginning of the creation of God Rev 3:14 and the firstborn of creation Col 1:15 and these are in reference to, in the mind and plans of God as Jesus's literal existence only began at Mary, conception.
Salvation was to be through Jesus before Jesus even literally existed.
Prior he was only in the mind and plans of God and the Hidden mystery WITHIN God Eph 3:9, Due 18:18 and 2 Sam 7:12-114.
So this is what was before Abraham that Jesus spoke of and of Zero reference to the I AM in the OT.
As Jesus says, you search the scriptures because in them you think you have life and they are those that speak of me.
Some knew prior and were waiting for him --> John, as they knew when he turned up, Jesus to be, would not be far away, Mal 3:1 etc.
All God was saying to Moses in the OT, hey look Moses, I am that I am = in other words, if I start explaining to you, all that I am, your people will be dead before you get of this mountain, so just tell them I AM sent you.
The next following verses makes it very CLEAR as to who and what God is to be referred to and no relevance to Jesus using the I am ONCE, that he used it.
People Try and say he is saying it when he is asked a simple question like, are you the son of God and he says "I am".
To try and align these "I am"s" like people do, is CLEARLY not of God.
So clearly Kam, going by your use of the I Am here, you have fallen hook line and sinker into the roots of many false teachings of the I AM, mess that most have created.
Yes I keep harping on about it, but until people grasp the Word subject, who it is and the numerous things it represents, many verses will simply fly over ones head.
John 1:1 finishes with "and God was The Word", pretty much saying, He is Word. (Not Jesus).
So when Moses says, who shall I say sent me, How do you explain all the things Word represents?????
Every single Bible passage, regardless of metaphorical or whatever, good word verses evil word is the message one is to look for in every passage.
So no Kam, it is not simple like you suggest, God only used the I Am to say, I am that I am, or I am who I am, in other words, no simple or short words can sum up what or who God is.
Jesus is saying no more than, in the mind and plans of God, I was before Abraham, in the mind and plans of God.
Exact same context in John ch 1, were Jesus is before, preferred, has precedence over John who was born before Jesus.
