BIBLEPROPHECIES ABOUT THE ADVENT OF MUHAMMAD

Abrahamis widely regarded as the Patriarch of monotheism and the common father of theJews, Christians and Muslims. Through His second son, Isaac, came all Israeliteprophets including such towering figures as Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David,Solomon and Jesus. May peace and blessings be upon them all. The advent ofthese great prophets was in partial fulfillment of God's promises to bless thenations of earth through the descendents of Abraham (Genesis12:2-3).Suchfulfillment is wholeheartedly accepted by Muslims whose faith considers thebelief in and respect of all prophets an article of faith.

BLESSINGSOF ISHMAEL AND ISAAC

Wasthe first born son of Abraham (Ishmael) and his descendants included in God's covenantand promise? A few verses from the Bible may help shed some light on thisquestion;

1) Genesis 12:2-3 speaks of God's promiseto Abraham and his descendants before any child was born to him.

2) Genesis 17:4 reiterates God's promiseafter the birth of Ishmael and before the birth of Isaac.

3) In Genesis, ch. 21. Isaac isspecifically blessed but Ishmael was also specifically blessed and promised byGod to become "a great nation" especially in Genesis 21:13, 18.

4) According to Deuteronomy 21:15-17 thetraditional rights and privileges of the first born son are not to be affectedby the social status of his mother (being a "free" woman such asSarah, Isaac's mother, or a "Bondwoman" such as Hagar, Ishmael'smother). This is only consistent with the moral and humanitarian principles ofall revealed faiths.

5) The full legitimacy of Ishmael asAbraham's son and "seed" and the full legitimacy of his mother,Hagar, as Abraham's wife are clearly stated in Genesis 21:13 and 16:3. AfterJesus, the last Israelite messenger and prophet, it was time that God's promiseto bless Ishmael and his descendants be fulfilled. Less than 600years afterJesus, came the last messenger of God, Muhammad, from the progeny of Abrahamthrough Ishmael. God's blessing of both of the main branches of Abraham'sfamily tree was now fullfilled. But are there additional corroborating evidencethat the Bible did in fact foretell the advent of prophet Muhammad?

MUHAMMAD:
TheProphet Like Unto Moses

Longtime after Abraham, God's promise to send the long-awaited Messenger wasrepeated this time in Moses' words.
InDeuteronomy 18:18, Moses spoke of the prophet to be sent by God who is:

1) From among the Israelite's"brethren", a reference to their Ishmaelite cousins as Ishmael was theother son of Abraham who was explicitly promised to become a "great nation".

2) A prophet like unto Moses. There werehardly any two prophets ,who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad. Bothwere given comprehensive law code of life, both encountered their enemies andwere victors in miraculous ways, both were accepted as prophets/statesmen andboth migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies betweenMoses and Jesus overlooks not only the above similarities but other crucialones as well (e.g. the natural birth, family life and death of Moses andMuhammad but not of Jesus, who was regarded by His followers as the Son of Godand not exclusively a messenger of God, as Moses and Muhammad were and asMuslim belief Jesus was).

THE AWAITEDPROPHET WAS TO COME FROM ARABIA

Deuteronomy33:1-2 combines references to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. It speaks of God (i.e.God's revelation) coming from Sinai, rising from Seir (probably the village of Sa'irnear Jerusalem)and shining forth from Paran. According to Genesis 21:21, the wilderness ofParan was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia, specifically Mecca).

Indeedthe King James version of the Bible mentions the pilgrims passing through the valley of Ba'ca(another name of Mecca)in Psalms 84:4-6.

Isaiah42:1-13 speaks of the beloved of God. His elect and messenger who will bringdown a law to be awaited in the isles and who "shall not fail nor bediscouraged till he have set judgement on earth." Verse 11, connects thatawaited one with the descendants of Ke'dar. Who is Ke'dar? According to Genesis25:13, Ke'dar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of prophet Muhammad.

MUHAMMAD'SMIGRATION FROM MECCA TO MEDINA:
PROPHECIEDIN THE BIBLE?

Habakkuk3:3 speaks of God (God's help) coming from Te'man (an Oasis North of Medinaaccording to J. Hasting's Dictionary of the Bible), and the holy one (coming)from Paran. That holy one who under persecution migrated from Paran (Mecca) to be received enthusiastically in Medina was none butprophet Muhammad.
Indeedthe incident of the migration of the prophet and his persecuted followers isvividly described in Isaiah 21:13-17. That section foretold as well about thebattle of Badr in which the few ill-armed faithful miraculously defeated the"mighty" men of Ke'dar, who sought to destroy Islam and intimidatetheir own folks who turned -to Islam.

THEQUR'AN (KORAN) FORETOLD IN THE BIBLE?

Fortwenty-three years, God's words (the Qur'an) were truely put into Muhammad'smouth. He was not the "author" of the Qur'an. The Qur'an was dictatedto him by Angel **riel who asked Muhammad to simply repeat the words of theQur'an as he heard them. These words were then committed to memory and towriting by those who hear them during Muhammad's life time and under hissupervision.

Was ita coincidence that the prophet "like unto Moses" from the"brethren" of the Israelites (i.e. from the lshmaelites) was alsodescribed as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he will speakin the name of God, (Deuteronomy 18:18-20). Was it also a coincidence the"Paraclete" that Jesus foretold to come after Him was described asone who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, thatshall he speak (John 16:13)

Was itanother coincidence that Isaiah ties between the messenger connected withKe'dar and a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sang unto the Lord(Isaiah 42:10-11). More explicitly, prophesies Isaiah "For with stammeringlips, and another tongue, will he speak to this people" (Isaiah 28:11).This latter verse correctly describes the "stammering lips" ofProphet Muhammad reflecting the state of tension and concentration he wentthrough at the time of revelation. Another related point is that the Qur'an wasrevealed in piece-meals over a span of twenty three years. It is interesting tocompare this with Isaiah 28:10 whichspeaks of the same thing.

THATPROPHET- PARACLETE- MUHAMMAD

Up tothe time of Jesus (peace be upon him), the Israelites were still awaiting forthat prophet like unto Moses prophecied in Deuteronomy 18:18. When John theBaptist came, they asked him if he was Christ and he said "no". Theyasked him if he was Elias and he said "no". Then, in apparentreference to Deuteronomy 18:18, they asked him "Art thou thatProphet" and he answered, "no". (John 1: 1 9-2 1).

In theGospel according to John (Chapters 14, 15, 16) Jesus spoke of the"Paraclete" or comforter who will come after him, who will be sent byFather as another Paraclete, who will teach new things which the contemporariesof Jesus could not bear. While the Paraclete is described as the spirit oftruth, (whose meaning resemble Muhammad's famous title Al-Amin, thetrustworthy), he is identified in one verse as the Holy Ghost (John 14:26).Such a designation is however inconsistent with the profile of that Paraclete.In the words of the Dictionary of the Bible, (Ed. J. Mackenzie) "Theseitems, it must be admitted do not give an entirely coherent picture."

Indeedhistory tells us that many early Christians understood the Paraclete to be aman and not a spirit. This might explain the followings who responded to somewho claimed, without meeting the criteria stipulated by Jesus, to be theawaited "Paraciete".

It wasProphet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper,admonisher sent by God after Jesus. He testified of Jesus, taught new thingswhich could not be borne at Jesus' time, he spoke what he heard (revelation),he dwells with the believers (through his well-preserved teachings). Suchteachings will remain forever because he was the last messenger of God, theonly Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and on thepath of PRESERVED truth. He told of many things to come which "came topass" in the minutest detail meeting, the criterion given by Moses todistinguish between the true prophet and the false prophets (Deuteronomy18:22). He did reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement(John 16:8-11)

WASTHE SHIFT OF RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP PROPHECIED?

Followingthe rejection of the last Israelite prophet, Jesus, it was about time thatGod's promise to make Ishmael a great nation be fulfilled (Genesis 21:13, 18)

InMatthew 21:19-21, Jesus spoke of the fruitless fig tree (A Biblical symbol ofprophetic heritage) to be cleared after being given a last chance of threeyears (the duration of Jesus' ministry) to give fruit. In a later verse in thesame chapter, Jesus said: "Therefore, say I unto you, The Kingdom of Godshall be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruitthereof" (Matthew 21:43). That nation of Ishmael's descendants (therejected stone in Matthew 21:42) which was victorious against all super-powersof its time as prophecied by Jesus: "And whosoever shall fall on thisstone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him topowder" (Matthew 21:44).

OUT OFCONTEXT COINCIDENCE?

Is itpossible that the numerous prophecies cited here are all individually andcombined out of context misinterpretations? Is the opposite true, that suchinfrequently studied verses fit together consistently and clearly point to theadvent of the man who changed the course of human history, Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him). Is it reasonable to conclude that all these prophecies,appearing in different books of the Bible and spoken by various prophets atdifferent times were all coincidence? If this is so here is another strange"coincidence"!

One ofthe signs of the prophet to come from Paran (Mecca) is that he will come with "tenthousands of saints" (Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV). That was the number offaithful who accompanied Prophet Muhammad to Paran (Mecca) in his victorious, bloodless return tohis birthplace to destroy the remaining symbols of idolatry in the Ka'bah.

SaysGod as quoted by Moses:
And itshall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which heshall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:19)

I'll just pull out one SERIOUS issue regarding your John 16:13 reference.

It was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper,admonisher sent by God after Jesus.

You keep adding, peace be upon him --> does it keep vanishing or something, like it does in the Mid-East?

NO, NO and NO, it was NOT.

It, the Spirit of Truth was in fact, the Holy Spirit which God IS -> John 4:24, so it was God, which was in Jesus, hence he said I will ask the Father to send another Comforter, Advocate.
Acts 2:33 - Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

John 3:34 - For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
(keep in mind, God's word is also Spirit, Hence Jesus received the Spirit/Word without measure for);
Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the good news to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Back to your John 16:13 ref;
13-15 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, --> and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, --> and shall shew it unto you.

So Jesus, the one we need to listen to, identifies the "he" and the "Father" as being one in the same.
And we know, the Almighty God and Father was the one that Glorified Jesus.
God, Father, Spirit of Truth and Holy Spirit are The one and only Almighty God and Father.

What is this that was given to Jesus and now going to be given to us;
John 12:49 - For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
John 17:22-24 - And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Clearly as shown here, the word of God is what the Glory is referring to, as by accepting and abiding in it, is the only way you can become one as they are one.
To simplify it --> God's word is Spirit as he is and He is The Word and Jesus in name, is The Word of God.
The Word of God is the outward expression of his Spirit, hence how and why Jesus became the express image, spoke and thus expressed out The Word = God.
Your words, likewise are the expression of your spirit, hence we are to test the spirits, words of you.
So if one accepts and abides in the Word = the Word of God, then Jesus's request that they become IN you and you in them, comes into play.
However --> Rev 19:12 tells us, no man knows his name --> The Word of God = do not know what it means, is saying and most still do NOT.

So what came Comforter wise and proof of;
2 Cor 6:16 - And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk inthem; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
1 Cor 6:19 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Jesus set the way, opened the Door and in the context of Jesus, he was the first Temple not built with hands, as per John 1:14 and 14:10.

Same writer, 2 different Books, Cor's and he identifies, interchanges God and the Holy Spirit = One in the same as you do not have two dwelling in you, in these verses.

Now then, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, God,..................by means of, Jesus said, he would come to us as well and in fact he said;
John 14:23 - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

So based on the above, why in God's name The Word (one of) and Jesus's, The Word OF God, would one even think, we needed another prophet, when clearly the above was to rule out the need of this and put the breaks in this Chinese whisper matter, once and for all.
No prophet could match having God and Jesus, in you, by your side.

ONE condition though, to get this aid, help, guidance, as was the case in the Garden, the One Truth, at least on the basics, of who God and Jesus are, is NOT Negotiable -> John 17:3, 4:23-24.

So no, your prophet is NOT God, the Comforter that was to replace what was in Jesus.
