    As to the issue of the claims made by Dr. Hans-Peter Dürr, et al, there appears to be an element of authority given to scientists even when they surpass the terms of their expertise. So if an eminent physicist happens to be theist who blends his desire for an afterlife with his work in physics, this is taken by some as being evidence to support the proposition being promoted...even though it is not justified.

    This being the case irrespective whether an actual afterlife is a reality or not. The point being justification through actual evidence and not what Doctor so and so, eminent Professor of Physics happens to be claiming.
