Meet him on several occasions in the nineties at Camberwell market where he sat in a chair selling his books. I didn’t ask many questions at the time although now I wish I had. Bought one of his books just for the sake of it can’t remember what it was called although he did mention something about organics quite a bit throughout. Sorry haven’t formed any views of those two questions. The Vietnam era seemed to produce some very interesting thought and creative music/lyrics.
