i can recall having a discussion with someone that believed in God, and asked him if he believed that God was omnipresent.
he said, "yes"
then i pointed to a piece of wood
and he replied with something equivalent to "surely you are not saying that God is that wood?"
and as we know, most of what we perceive as material, is empty space, and perhaps nothing really exists.
