Hi Dave R!! Nice to talk to you again.

Confusion reigns with regard to the "experts" it seems!

Our grandkids won't know whether to buy skis or bikinis?

Taking an even bigger picture view - our world, and the Universe, tends to take care of itself. And ou rworld it but a dot in this Universe - what's put there must be mind-blowing. All credit to those who are trying to find out!

If a Martian had landed here during the Dinosaur Age - he'd go back home and THAT would be the "set-in concrete" image of what Planet Earth (or whatever they called us) would be like, according to THEIR history books.

(Or if a space-ship from trillions of light years away did a quick and brief R&R land in the middle of the Sahara - then took off again in a hurry without looking further - THEIR history books would tell their populace that this is a globe of sand, wind, heat, and not much else.) Not even worth a re-visit!

And this is before we address the giganticlly complex concepts of time travel - worm holes - black holes - and other possible dimensions.

Our "little" worries then about climate changes, ice ages etc. pale into insignifance relative to the infinity viewpoint. And what IS infinity - and what contains it?

Really, much as we love ourselves - (we are all just little tiny specks of sand on a great vast beach - good to be concerned, but -) - is it worth worrying ourselves - and our kids and grandkids - to death - to the extent that we are now starting to live our whole lives in a state of paranoia about the possibility of adverse events?? And being so down in the mouth about our futures.

And ruining our day to day enjoyment of the moment in the process!! For this present moment is really all that IS real - it should be relished - and cherished!

Take responsibility - yes - but let's not endlessly analyze ourselves and our descendents into such a state that we are then leading miserable lives of morbidity, negativity, and fear, and killing the natural joie de vivre which should be every human being's inheritance.
