Interesting, but not a threat to products like evolis. Apart from this approach still needing years of development, these are two completely separate technologies.

Their approach is to grow follicles where there are none. That's great because it means those who are bald will have hope to grow hair again. Growing hair alone is not enough for a full looking head, however, as hair needs to grow long enough to become thick and long.

Evolis is for those who have existing follicles but suffer from hair that is thin or whose hair is "rushing" through the hair lifecycle. Evolis keeps hair in the anagen phase longer by blocking FGF5 and thus allows the hair to grow longer and thicker. So if that new technology allows more people to grow follicles again that means a larger market for products that support hair growth and thickness.
