The Australian Research Council and the National Health & Medical Research Council reject 90% of the applicants for the annual allocation of research grants totalling about $1.7 Billion.
What I been trying to discover is how many of the top 10% of the rejected 90% would have had some merit to assist in obtaining funding from other sources or collaborations and whether granting of funding to all those in the 10% who do share in the $1.7 Billion deserved the funds in priority to the top 10% who missed out.
All approaches to the ARC & NHMRC since 2016 have been fruitless as they say they not required keep records, so if anyone of the now jobless university scientists who might like to work for CSL would like to share their "secret" information please do contact me. CSL could do with more clever Aussies Im sure as would other ASX listed researchers. Anyone agree CSL needs more clever people?
