I have a friend who has just been diagnosed with SCLC. I called Monash University yesterday enquiring on her behalf eligability etc re the trial etc. I spoke to a caring person who explained the procedure and the 6 doses of HA Irintecan with carbroplatin spaced at thee week intervals that are administered to eligible candidates . I asked if there has been any benefit to anyone on the trial. He said some have had great results, some good , some average. He was most helpful , and gave me all his details for my friend to contact him for assessment .. I have passed on his details to my friend, I just hope she meets their criteria. ACL, giving people hope and extra time on this planet! .....made me proud.
