God is holy, and cannot stand sin. God is just, and must punish sin. God is a jealous God. God is loving, and has paid the ultimate price for us, if we accept his free gift. In regards to some bad things God has inflicted upon, or allowed to be inflicted upon people. If you are a father, and you have a rebellious son, as much as you love him, there is only so much you can stand. How much disrespect, disdain, and bad behavior can you stand from a rebellious child, when you have brought them into the world, and given them everything they need, and they turn and scoff in your face? Thats what most people do to God. They don't even acknowledge him and all the wonders he has made.
