Yeh its hard and tough decisions need be made . But even the icu beds they talk about if the virus gets out into country areas they dont even have health services and its where the fresh food is going to come from .

But continuing to let the virus move around seems crazy to me .

Maybe more isolation into shires even where the virus is not prevalent now they could be still functioning as normal as possible under the circumstances . Commerce would still be happening in townships and smaller areas perhaps?

You could still have everything open as normal and people having some life to carry on without the fear some spreading of a virus . You could still be at the pub in towns as they may never get the virus if we lock it down for everyone as it looks like we are going have to we are hurting more people in the process imo.

Anyway just a view that we are letting it slip into areas that are clear of the virus and increasing the chances they will in eventuality end up with it because we are to slow in locking it down where its transmitting from in transit areas now.

Im all for the total lock down as its stated it may just take time to legislate it into action as pointed out .

If we have an end date im sure people will be much more accommodating particularly now we have so many without even a chance to find new work or business and when that may happen .

They have nothing to look forward to and no en-date in sight at all .

Give them something at least to have a fight with and be part of !

Currently we have scrap heaped them and its terrible with no end date in mind .

And thats hard .

Id rather they could take up the fight with an en-date in mind at least .

Just a view .

Lets eliminate the virus from the country in maybe the only way we can accept and thats the lock down with an en-date then we can be free in our country again without the fear while the world gets a handle on it as well .

Lets get the fight happening and win it .

Go for the elimination of it . Let the country know thats the aim and we are going to win it .

Forget about this herd immunity and stuff that will take to long anyway .

The health system will be far better off if their is no virus at all and we can save peoples lives as well .

Children if they have to can just go to school without holidays to catch up if we have no virus to worry about ?

If we lose a lot of teachers and older people to the virus we will also lose all that skill we have gained from the years they have taught anyway .

This includes medical staff also who will be exposed .

Its terrible what can happen and is happening /projected to happen.
