Based on Fire Danger Index Measurements if the reading is over 100 the fire danger rating is Catastrophic. How many countless lives have been saved during this fire crisis because people know under these conditions that their houses are undefendable ? Most people have made the sensible decision to leave. . As an aside Kingpins the Fire Danger Index measures temperature,relative humidity, windspeed and the dryness of fuels across the landscape .
