that is why (political maneuvering aside) we need, as a global community, to be able to seek definitive answers to the source and cause of this virus, not only to prevent death in the hundreds of thousands from becoming deaths in the tens of millions, but to also take action once the cause and source is identified, that reduce or prevent further and potentially deadlier new coronavirus strains
your argument is politically one sided, overplaying the evil west card, while the CCP is clearly playing the draconian rule is better for dealing with epidemics card. What we need as a global community is to get to the truth, and not only for the aspirations of the political powers in the west, but for the benefit of all humanity, and indeed the Chinese people, who are going to suffer immense global prejudice the more this epidemic escalates, not only from the global community but their own neighbours
lets stop playing politics and support those that seek the truth, even if they have obvious additional political interests, the CCP needs to provide full access to relevant scientific bodies and provide full disclosure of data
