Scott, I, and many others I know, are sick of politicians effectively neutered by the omnipresent critical MSM.

Politicians, specifically those when in power, are sh*t scared to speak their real minds and too often pander to the most vocal and criticising MSM journos.

This has become so pervasive over recent decades and combined with a ( too) short 3 year election cycle works against serious progressive legislation and gives greater voice to the Opposition who pander to the MSM for pure political ingratiation.

I would be happy to see either major Party have control of both Houses for a 4 year period where they could bring about seriously progressive legislation beneficial for the country. The one caveat on that, is the assumption that the successful Party was elected based on discernible competence.
