"Where the hell are ya?" , ScoMo with your hollow ad slogans of "better at managing money" & "low taxes, small government & let the free market do its thing with minimum Government interference.

We already have a Socialist/Capitalist system but this is driving it over the cliff. ( No wonder the Treasurer lost his voice yesterday)

Who is going to pay?

My solution is : Let those pay who can afford it
(a) the billionaires
(b) big business
(c) Multinationals who are dodging tax now
(d) print more money so long as it does not knock the ass out og our Peso (MMT advocates say no because it is all fiat currency)
(e) government employees including Politicians who have been allowed to work on full pay.*
It is bad enough to have 1.2 mil unemployed but 6 million on Job Keeper is as shocking ast it is enormous. We didn't have that during the Great Depression!
(f) Corporations and professions that have benefitted from the CV-19 shut down

First of all we have to preserve Australia's assets from foreign hedge funds and vulture billionaires with their lollies stashed in Tax Havens and we need that Legislation right away; not post the Fire Sale.

Our people in the Bush stepped up to the mark during the Bush Fires, so its not unreasonable to ask City Slickers ( particularly Government Employees to do ditto now.

Secondly we need our Mulicipalities and State Governments to act on behalf of our distressed businesses (the Commonwealth does not have feet on the ground to do that (Just the ATO & Centrelink)

IMO, we are now paying for hanging around scratching our bollocks while waves of Japs, Koreans & now Chinese dug it up and shipped it out leaving us without economic resillience to face a major Depression. Perhaps the holes in the ground will make good dams when the minerals are depleted. We entered this pucker with over $1 Trillion combined Governments' debt rather than having a clean slate through good economic management and, IMO, the Libs are mostly responsible for that because , with the exception of the GFC economic shock 2008-09, the economy has been motoring along staying out of recession for over 10 years.

The Abbott Government repealed the MRRT which was intended to pay down GFC debt and then, with the help of Turnbull & ScoMo, continued to spend like drunken sailors while giving the Multinationals a tax holiday.

Just imagine of this CV-19 led Recession mutes into a Depression; will the Government allow the country to go down the tube to protect the
financial interests of foreigners. It could very well could be one or the other, IMO, should the Trump-China Economic War carry on from the CV-19
catalyst.

* Government employees and Politicians in the media have been spruiking " We're all in this together" so the challenge from a wages point of view
is "Prove It" !

taxing productive business will kill jobs and the economy, the wealthy already pay enough tax. Small business is already against the wall, why not tax societies welfare slurpers? ..the unemployed, refugees, foreign students, single mothers, disability pensioners and unions?
