yeah valid points....I was meaning the major 2 parties..ie the one's that form Govt and decide policy. I don't doubt there's lots of very sincere people who put their hand up as an independent or green, but sadly their input is very limited. It's very clear in the major parties that you don't get lifted into senior positions due to talent or ability, it's all due to factions and dodgy votes. With a system like that the cream will never rise, it will just stay at the bottom until it curdles and disillusionment sets in.

One major area in politics that needs urgent cleaning up is the murky world of the Lobbyist. Can you imagine the shifty world of the Lobbyist? Opportunity must knock very loudly in that business for dodgy dealings and brown paper bags being handed around. None of it is public, and it's all motivated by self interest.

Lobbyists with piles of money get what they want. That is the opposite of selflessness.
It is wrong but that is how it is structured. It’s why the rich get richer and the well you know what.
A change of government will not eliminate this process.
Little wonder that the majority want change and an improvement in their lives.
We are the lucky country and the nation’s incredible wealth should be more evenly distributed
but not in an extremist way. It needs a balanced centralised approach where the tide lifts all boats.
