Look at Ken Henry's tax reform review from a decade ago, resulting in 139 recommendations for a better and fairer tax system. No more than 3 adopted. Too hard? or are they too scared to try and sell it to the masses?

A good example of monetary waste. Why start a reform process that can improve things but then toss it aside.
Same with the RC into the aged care sector. Recommendations are not followed through or only partially.
Suppose it’s partly due to the short 3 year terms and lack of commitment.
