hi Dave... this line says it all for me. No emergency power required for a gas field project. the only national interest was for the Lib Gov to retain office and for him to cancel that project that threatened a seat he had promised this very act. a purely political decision.

much that I've watched and read, even Bolt (aghast), has addressed the what and how and the detailed analysis but none are looking at the why. most likely because its pure speculation, and fair enough.
