Why is it that the previous owners and creators of Sconi, Metallica Minerals are never mentioned. Metallica spent far more on exploration than the sale price for Sconi. The mine life was estimated to be 20 years. At that time they were awarded explorer of the year by peers after conducting an extensive exploration of the Greenvale to Mt Garnet area, including a JV AEM survey with BHP.( CR43458) Metallica had a demonstration plant at Bell Ck and travelled extensively seeking finance to establish a mine. When the crash came salaries were slashed, redundancies made and useless tenements abandoned. Do Metallica still hold any shares? The Greenvale Mt Garnet area has in the past attracted numerous exploration including such as, AO Australia, WMC, Nth Broken Hill, Shell Aust, CRA, Posieden] and numerous small Explorers. I had the good fortune to consult an experienced mining engineer and from advice did not invest.
