Another nice measure to look at is the CAPEX payback period on the total project.
If you look at the full 2mtpa operation, with a CAPEX of $231m and an IO sale price of $90p/t, the calculation would look like;
2mtpa x ($90-$41) = $98m
$231m / $98m = 2.35 years
A very solid number again considering the project has a mine life of 23 years according to the Scoping Study.
I wonder if Exxaro will try to make a move on EQX before EQX gets funding/strategic partners sorted. You'd think EQX would be much harder to acquire after funding/partners are in place, but also you'd think that management and major holders won't be giving the company away for anything but a very good deal.
