Hi taboon,
Dropping from 63.5c to 57c 'in a matter of days' isn't much to worry about with this stock. Large percentage gains and losses per day are not uncommon with EQX due to the illiquid nature of the stock.
Take a look at a larger sample size, starting from July 2013 after the release of the Scoping Study. It's been hanging around the 60c mark since then.
What do you think no trades today means? This often occurs with EQX.
When 80%+ of the company is held by the top 20 holders and the stock isn't a trader's play thing like others you may hold, the turnover tends to be lower.
A stock being illiquid can be bad news if you're a short term trader but isn't necessarily bad news for long term holders.
IMO the success or failure of the stock comes down to one thing, can they find a good CAPEX solution?
With $50m in the bank, M&G and BlackRock on the register holding ~25%, and a premium 64-65%fe product that will entice off-take partners, I think they will be able to find a good CAPEX solution.
$115m is all they need to get to production, and this figure can be whittled down further by co-operation with Exxaro and lease of rolling stock.
I'm very confident they can find a CAPEX solution, and so is the company. :)
