I looked for a thread on this but couldnt find one, sorry if there is already!
Im currently enjoying a (Tasmanian) Sullivans Cove Single cask (french oak) ,(there is an American oak batch which is not as good imo but only because its just been out done!)the word smooth doesnt do it justice.
Also another bottle I got for Christmas, which is "still" 1/3 full is a bottle of J. Walker XR ( gold). This was my son's Xmas present, which I was a bit apprehensive about at first having tried the Blue(which by the way I thought was overrated rubbish), but was pleasantly suprised at the full taste and easy on the palate! A hint of peat at room temperature and very very smooth!
One I will throw out there which I thought was exceptional, and is made in South Australia is a Single malt by Southern Coast Distillers. Ive tried the batch 5 but the are very small batches so they update regularly.
Anyway always looking out for something new!
