Yes, it is ERG who have supplied the ticketing to equipment to Shetland
Islands Council.
The Council introduced bus ticketing four years ago when ERG supplied their
TP4000 ticket machines. Now, with the introduction of Smartcard technology,
ERG were chosen as preferred supplier to the Council to launch the National
Concessionary Travel Scheme in Scotland.
ERG personnel have spent a week in Shetland installing the machines and
training bus operators and drivers on the new system. One of their team is
based in Perth, Australia and was sent across to assist with the launch
