Hey BEC followers...this is a direct plea for you to take up the cudgel and wield it in the direction of one Scott Elliott the biased, one-eyed, inflamatory journo at the AFR.

His article today was a disgrace...totally loose with the facts, totally biased towards just one conclusion.

That of impending doomsday!

There was absolutely no reporting of the asset sales to date...no reporting of the massive advantage which BEC has in the area of "social housing" where BEC will get a good slice of the governments $6.4bn spend here.

Below is my email to one Scott Elliott..and can I make a direct plea for you to separately email him [email protected] and put "Shame Scott Elliott Shame" in the header.

It's time we strike back at crap journalism...and can you warm the cockles of this aging investor...can you put a post on HC when you have done this?

Here's my email to him:

Scott, I am a shareholder in Becton and I wish to protest in strong terms your disgraceful article in today’s AFR.

Not only is it poor and sloppy journalism but it was inflammatory and designed to be as provocative as possible.

At the very least it was totally one-sided and would lead a less experienced reader to conclude that the doors are closing and the lights are about to go out.

In a less PC era, you should be keel-hauled and made to publicly apologise to Becton and the AFR readers for a shameful distortion of the facts.

Would you have the guts to issue an apology Scott?

Whilst I cannot prove it, I would believe that you have today caused a number of people to lose money.

So, as you have your five o’clock drinks this afternoon, I want you to really reflect on the disservice you did to the business community through your biased writing. And I can tell you this...I’ll certainly not be shouting you a beer and I’ll be doing my level best to ensure that the name “Scott Elliott” is associated with poor journalism and sloppy fact finding. I will start with a tirade on the Hot copper site!

As a shareholder, I am sick of crap journalism.
