Australia treats our key "trading partner" with a barely disguised sense of superiority and so they should cut us off.
For some reason we think our system of organising our economy (exploitative capitalism) far prevails over China's (state-led socialism), yet it is China's which has lifted 900 million people out of poverty and ours which has put half the population on a pay-cheque to pay-cheque existence.
We'll quickly find out that rather than being a vital "trading partner" to China, we are but a mere supplier of cheap, high-grade resources, and one who is quickly and painlessly replaced at a slightly higher financial cost, but without the supplier's contempt.
Good work Scotty. Abusing our relationship with China in some entirely misguided attempt to please Trump is far and away the dumbest thing you could have ever done.
