As a voter are you not concerned a PM could do this across all portfolios, essentially centralising all decision making power to themselves secretly, without the public or Parliament having a clue? Sorry Billy it's not the person, it's the principal. Might as well live in a tinpot dictatorship if we do not have a problem with this. There was already a provision to deal with absences etc, this was just a power grab, no matter how benign. What if the next person to try it motives are worse? Morrison, not Morrison, the secrecy and unaccountability is wrong IMO and against every instinct of democratic cabinet government I believe in.
