I am married to a teacher.
Trust me when I tell you that the teachers are better than you think.
The problem is not the teachers but the curriculum they have to abide by.
They are not allowed to do things that we had back in the day such as spelling and times tables. Then there is such a reporting burden upon them that they get even less face to face time.
The issue is not the teachers but the hierarchy who are paid a lot but have no clue.
The teachers are dedicated but hampered by a system designed to support the non productive people at head office.
