Scotty, communities help each other out, this is very different to the govt stepping in and using taxpayer money to do the job of insurance companies. What about all the people whose houses burn down through normal circumstances(i.e electrical fires or whatever non disaster situation) who don't have insurance, the govt doesn't help them out, why are they different? You can't pick and choose who should be immune from not having insurance Scotty.

This is the problem with communists like yourself, you think the govt can just keep paying for everything and everyone, if the govt starts stepping in to pay when someone doesn't take responsibility for themselves via insurance, what's the point of insurance? Won't everyone just decide not to take out insurance as the govt will pay? The same thing happens when you start giving everyone easy free dole bludger money like you constantly advocate, why would anyone work? Communism(i've upgraded you after that rant) or socialism always kills countries for this reason
